Building Smart Urban Transportation Together: Toehold Technology Supports Urban Digital Transformation

As a key event of the Shanghai Smart City Experience Week, the "2020 Shanghai Smart City Cooperation Conference—Digital Foundation and Ecosystem Summit Forum," under the theme of "Smart Cities Under Digital Transformation," was held on December 10 at the Shanghai International Convention Center. The event was guided by the Shanghai Smart City Construction Leading Group Office and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and co-organized by China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd. and the Shanghai Smart City Development Institute.

Toehold Technology was invited to participate in the conference and brought its "Transportation Infrastructure Health Monitoring" system to the venue through a physical model and interactive platform. The company demonstrated how the deployment of various sensors, combined with cloud-based data collection and visualization, enables real-time monitoring and early warning of indicators such as settlement, tilt, wind speed, and wind direction in structures including tunnels, slopes, roads, and bridges. This sample model allowed attendees to experience firsthand the progress and achievements of Shanghai’s smart city development.
