Recently, the Department of Science, Technology and Industrialization of China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development released the catalog of the "2021 National Construction Industry Scientific and Technological Achievements Promotion Projects." Toehold Technology’s "Excavation Steel Support Servo System (TH-AFS)" was successfully included in the list.

The Excavation Steel Support Servo System (TH-AFS) is a comprehensive safety solution for excavation support. It integrates CNC hydraulic technology, automated monitoring, and IoT capabilities to track in real time the axial force of steel supports and deformation of the excavation. Based on monitoring data, the system adjusts the support axial force to ensure full control over the safety and deformation of the excavation and surrounding structures.

The system consists of two main parts: on-site automated equipment and the TOEHOLD sensing cloud platform. At the construction site, the intelligent support head assembly can be easily connected to standard steel supports. Together with the wireless servo pump station, it enables precise adjustment of the axial force of each support. Users can remotely monitor site data via a browser or mobile app and control automated equipment from a distance, facilitating centralized.
To date, Toehold Technology has provided technical services using the Excavation Support Servo System for over 100 projects in more than 20 cities across China, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Changzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Shaoxing, Suzhou, Nantong, Wenzhou, Tianjin, Xiong'an New Area, Fuzhou, Kunming, Nanning, Shenzhen, Changsha, and Harbin.

Since the independent research and development and successful promotion of its supporting axial force servo system, Toehold Technology has won numerous honors successively: the Second Prize of the 1st China Urban Rail Transit Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Excellent Enterprise Award of the 6th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Top 10 Independent Innovation Projects of Shanghai High-tech Achievement Transformation in 2018, and being selected into the 100 New Rail Transit Technologies by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Winning this honor again as a national construction industry scientific and technological achievement promotion project is a high recognition of this scientific and technological achievement, as well as an affirmation and incentive for Toehold Technology's independent innovation.
